Cell phone location tracking to solve a crime?
I have a bet with my Dad - can police or other agencies use cell phone companies records to solve a crime. for example, can they pinpoint what cell phone was in a particular location at a specific time?

I lost a cell phone somewhere. Is there any way I can track the location of that phone?
I had lost my cell phone somewhere, I check with the stores and the bus stations to see if it was turned in, I have also tried calling it several times, howevery I it acts as if it is turned off. is there some way to track it down?

Can you track the location of a Sprint cell phone using GPS?
I know this is done for 911 purposes, but can a parent use it to keep track of kids? Does a regular customer have access to the info?
